Volvuls of Right Colon

Abstract
|
|
|
1) Anormalies in intestinal rotation, descend and fixation occasionally make a surgical disease.
2) Both acute and chronic type of volvulus of right colon were presented.
3) Chronic type of volvulus is usually misdiagnosed as chronic recurrent appendicitis.
4) Massive resection of intestine after subtotal gastrectomy and gastrojejunostomy was performed due to acuteo volvulus of right colon, and the patient survived despite 36cm jejunum including proximal loop of gastrojejunostomy for 5months up to this moment.
5) Acute form of volvulus has high mortality(near 50%) if not treat early in the disease process.
